Greetings from SAE Northern India Section!

We are happy to announce "AUTONOM INDIA 2021", a new initiative of SAE NIS, introduced for the first time in the country. The Event is to "Design and Develop Autonomous 4-wheeled 4-seater vehicle for urban Mobility."
|
|
Primary objective is to provide opportunities for engineering students to explore with a unique format of Hands-on Technology Experience, Technology Display and Knowledge sharing.
|
|
Of course, given the times in which we live at present, this competition will be on a virtual platform with Physical Event likely to happen in 2022-23. Announcement for the physical Event will be made at the appropriate time .
|
|
1. This will be the FIRST VIRTUAL AUTONOM INDIA planned to be concluded on 18th and 19th March 2022 taking into account the overall safety of all participants and organisers from ongoing COVID pandemic.
|
|
2. The FIRST VIRTUAL AUTONOM INDIA Event was launched on 15th September 2021 where about 838 members had registered. We have also created WhatsApp Groups for all these registered Members.
|
|

4. Competition/ Objectives are to generate different scenarios and different edge cases under typical unsafe Indian driving conditions using application of most relevant Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) sensors.
|
|
5. Industry Expert interactions covering topics like Vehicle Dynamics, IPG Carmaker and related simulations, ADAS/Autonomous Vehicle Overview and Functionalities, Sensing Perception and Control Algorithm, Scenario Creation and data acquisition to name a few. Industry Expert interactions will happen for an expected duration of 48 hours.

6. Different Categories of Awards for different Rounds will be there

8. Link for the First draft of the Rule Book can also be accessed in the 'Documents' section of the event page. This has been slightly modified to what was presented during the launch Function taking into consideration suggestions made.

9. Registration process starts on 15th September 2021 and last date of Registrations is 5th October 2021
|
|
10. The registration fee per team, comprising of minimum 5 students and Maximum 10 students plus 2 interdisciplinary faculty Advisors is Rs. 8,000/-, inclusive of 18% GST. You can register through the event page provided below, as per the following process;

- Click on the REGISTER button provided on the event page.
|
|
- Select the Quantity for the Group Ticket as 1.
|
|
- Fill up the team member details as per the fields provided in the form.
|
- Select the payment mode and complete your registration by paying the amount.
|
- An Automated mail will be sent confirming your registration and generating your Team ID.
|
|
- All future communications must be using this Team ID
|
|
