About This Location

A voluntary nonprofit short term acute care hospital. The emergency department treats more than 15,000 patients each year and has a trauma unit and eight treatment beds.

Case Assignments

No OB, total knee and total hip replacements, knee scopes, shoulder scopes and replacements, rotator cuff repairs, sleeve gastrectomies, spinal fusions, laminectomies, hernias, gallbladders, appendectomies, colon resections. All types of eye surgeries: including cataracts, glaucoma, retina and strabismus repairs in kids down to 10 months of age. Breast resections with reconstructions. Endoscopies, sedation for pain management procedures, also hand and wrist surgery: carpal tunnel, wrist releases arm, leg, hip, ankle fractures and podiatry cases.

Position Responsibilities

• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Position Requirements

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
