CLUBS

(I). INTERACT CLUB

Interact clubs are self supporting and self governing, and they receive guidance from a local sponsor Rotary club. Wonderland school has always foster and taught children all about care, sharing and service to humanity. To inculcate the moral values in children was the motive behind to start with an Interact club. The goals of Interact club are :-

  • To recognize and develop constructive leadership and personal integrity.
  • To encourage and practice thoughtfulness of and helpfulness to others.
  • To create an awareness of the importance of home and family.
  • To build respect for the rights for others, based on recognition of the worth of each individual.
  • To develop life skills including self development, time management and personal finances.

The Interact club of Wonderland High School was first installed by district Governor of 3030 Dr. Prafull Mokadam and by President of Rotary club Ganesh Joshi likewise every year. We have installation of the club through the hands of the President of Rotary club.

Throughout the year we try to groom children to work for the humanity, for that we carry out different activities. Some of the activities which are done in the past are.

Activities

1. Tree plantation
2. Rakhi selling – made by children of Shradhnanand Ashram.
3. Traffic awareness programme
4. Environment Awareness programme
5. Help the needy : Collected Article like soap, toothpaste, sugar, rice, coconut oil, old clothes, shoes, leftover pages from copies, cardigans, old school bags to give in charity to the under privileged children and school Shradhnanand Ashram under the project “ Help the needy”.
6. Spreading smiles : Celebrated Christmas by giving gift through the hands santa and conducting. Sports for the under privileged children of prince Bal Sadan. Every year we still continue with this project. By this children learn to love and to share.
7. Children went for RYLA camp and also Interact District meets. Where from which they learned the different life skills through the lecture given by eminent personality in the camp. Many activities were also carried forward which helped them to live independent and to make correct decision. Children won many medals in the competition which were conducted in the camp.
8. Joy of giving :In all throughout the year children collected money. On every Friday from the whole school to give in charity to the under privileged children.
9. Every year many workshop and talks on diff life skill topics were conducted for the children to understand the life well, like
a. Talk on Traffic awareness.
b. Talk on First Aid
c. Talk on leadership
d. Talk on Time Management
e. Talk on Manners and Etiquette.
f. Talk on workshop on Acting Skill

Many seminars were also conducted

a. Seminar on Healthy Food habits
b. Seminar on Importance of blood donation

2(b Visited Prince Balsadan an orphanage to tie Rakhi to those children to keep up the bond of brotherhood. Also visited old age home to show love and care far them.
2(c) Felicitated the peons and drives for their service on thanks giving day.

Forth coming projects of interact club is thinking to do for the senior citizen of the society.

Wonderland interactors also stood to protest against the Kidnappers by joining hands with Yug foundation.
Wonderland conducted Interschool Heritage Quiz to the year 2014-15 and hold won the 3rd prize. Wonderland Interactors also supported to eradicate Polio from India through Rotary International.

In last five years there were many feathers in our cap of Wonderland High School.

3. Year 2012 – 13 – Best Interact Teacher Award to Our teacher.
4. Year 2013 – 14 – Best Installation Award.

In this long journey of Interactors we feel proud to belong to such a reputed Institution of where such organization helps children to become a good Human being, Because Wonderland High School always be lived in “ Service to man is service to God.”

(II) LITERARY CLUB

Literary club was formed to develop the speaking and writing skills of the students. Throughout the year various activities and competitions are organised for the students to develop the literary skills of the students.

To develop the writing skills, assessment is done where in the children learn to express there ideas in clear and grammatically correct English. They also learn how to plan, organize and present their ideas wherenthy by comparing and contrasting ideas, they also learn how to present their ideas by using appropriate style and format. They also learn how to expand notes into longer pieces of composition creatively.

The students develop the cohesion and correctness of structures and vocabulary. Use of appropriate tense form, prepositions, articles and connectors they also learn to use correct mechanics of writing correct spellings, punctuation marks and capitalization.

To develop the communication skills and confidence various activities are planned throughout the year like Debates, Elocution, speeches, storytelling, talk shows, seminar, quiz, symposium, dialogue conversation etc in which the children learn how to use correct intonation and pronunciation.
The literary club promotes writing skills by organizing story writing, poem writing, slogan writing, lime rill and report writing, para writing, article writing activities in the school.

The best literary works are the school and are also published in the news letter and knowledge magazine. In this way the talent of the students is honed and the develop, the aesthetic sense and the love for literature and language.

(III) HERITAGE CLUB

Heritage is the full range of our inherited traditions, monuments, objects and culture. It is the range of contemporary activities, behaviors that we have drawn from our ancestors.

We use objects of heritage to shape our ideas about our past, present and future. A person’s heritage is made up of practices and traditions that are passed on from parents to us. To keep in mind these views the Heritage club was inangurated / installed in Wonderland High School. Children make projects, slogans, posters on the given topics.

In the first year we have observed
“ fo”o fojklr fnu ” (World Heritage day)
Children made attractive posters to create awareness. Twice a year we give these project.

Current year projects are :-

  • Taj Mahal
  • Forts of India
  • Sunderban National Park.

(IV) SCIENCE CLUB

A science club offers children the chance to do science related activities that extend and enhance the science they experience in the classroom.

In our school we have installed the science club. Where each programme reflects the interests of our childrens, our club organiser teachers and the facilities given by school authority.

Most clubs use the opportunity to explore areas of science not covered by the curriculum to give the club members plenty of opportunities to do practical science.

In our school science club members organises and shows their research work thrice a year.

Normally in science club we’re allowed to do more things than we’re allowed to do in normal and regular classes.

In regular class we write in our copies. In science club the children gets up and discuss with people from other table and do more experiments than normal science class.

(V) Wellness Club

Health is a condition ( mental and physical ) in which the individual is functionally well adjusted internally with respect to body parts and externally with his environment.

Health and Wellness clubs is school can favourably influence the habits, attitude and knowledge relating to an individual and community.

Thinking about of these aspects we have installed wellness club in Wonderland High School.

Every year we are organizing ‘Eye camp’ and ‘Dental camp’ for all the students and staff of school.

In the academic session (2014-15) we have organised a seminar on “Global Warming”. Children have presented power point presentation on the same.

In (2015-16) we have organised “Ozone day” Children have observed with colourful posters and slogans to create an awareness.

We have arranged a drawing competition in collaboration with CMCA and the theme was “SAVE ELECTRICITY”
We also have arranged a “Mock drill” with the help of Fire-brigades.

(VI) CMCA Club – CHILDRENS MOVEMENT OF CIVIC AWARENESS

CMCA is a volunteer driven civil society organization that conducts a national civic club program in schools across India. This systematic and structured intervention is dedicated in moulding and nurturing active citizenship in children and youth across the country. CMCA seeks to sensitize children and youth to civic democratic issues thereby improving quality and equality of life.

Vision of CMCA

:- To form a dynamic society of empowered citizens who asserting their rights and shouldering their social responsibilities, participates in governance in pursuit of universal common good and fulfillment of human aspiration while striving democracy and celebrating freedom and diversity.

Mission of CMCA

:- Its Mission is to kindle and nurture active citizenship and inculcate democratic values in children and youth and through a ‘ripple effect’. Empower and transforms society as a whole.

Wonderland High School and CMCA

:- In our school it was launched in the year 2012-13 by Dr. Vijaya Chaoji, Neeta kale and Deepa kale.

Our Director Gurjeet Kaur wanted to build up the positive attitude among the children. Therefore decided to instill the minds of children, a sense of responsibility towards environment and social issues as well as the right way of handling situation that they face daily. The CMCA sensitivity programes have raised the levels of awareness among the children.

CMCA members participated in many activities like making profile of school, conducted campaign to save electricity, save water. In the campaign children spoke the importance of saving water and electricity. To make the children more aware it was explained by displaying chart with slogans topic and speaking about it. The members also did signature campaign for saving electricity..
Thanks giving day children brought gift for the peon and drivers to express their thanks.

Field trip

:- Visited the Nagpur Municipal Corporation to meet the Commissioner for to discuss about the cleanliness of Nagpur and also learned method of cleaning work goes on the city.

Leher

:- Children participated in the annual programme of CMCA. Children performed a skit to stop curruption and secured. 2nd position in this Drama competition. In this way many activities were carried forward.

This year also this club was launched for to start with different activities to bring about the awareness in the society . The forth coming projects will be campaign on E waste and to collect it for recycling, collecting newspaper and donate them to help the under priviledge children to make paper bags and envelops.

This CMCA classes are conducted by the volounteers for standard 8 children to bring about the change in them and the society.

B.SWATCH BHARAT

– “Cleanliness is next to godliness” School supports Swachh Bharat. Vidhyalaya programme as a full fledged programme. Every week children participate in cleaning of class rooms, libraries, drinking water areas, play grounds and white wash and painting of school building. The message for a clean and healthy society is regular spreader by our children through campaigns.

C SUNSHINE DAY

As the sunshine everyday it brings happiness on the face of our Interactors because on every Friday it shines more brightly for the interactors move on to every class and collect – few coins of charity. Every year children collect near about – four to five thousand. We donate his money to the Rotary Club for underpriviledge children. Interactors tries to being smile on their face.

D.SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES

– These assemblies are organised to make children aware about the present and past happening. Assemblies are conducted on various topics like No Tobacco Day, Environment Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Birth Anniversary of Bhagat Singh etc.
